Vanguard is seeking an experienced lead for upholstery finishing operations in Conover.
Apply and become part of a great company! Finishes whitewood frame to specified color and/or finish utilizing knowledge of wood properties and finish.
The lead position is someone who assists the supervisor or manager, and is responsible for a team or group of employees.
A lead will be the go-between for employees and management for solving problems or even for addressing general questions.
Authority EXCLUDES hiring, terminating, employee evaluations, and disciplinary actions.
Authority INCLUDES direct work activities.
Checks color with color panel and keeps other employees working on scheduled cases.
Perform all duties safely and report any safety hazards to your immediate supervisor; including techniques for grounding / bonding where needed; ensuring filters changed according to schedule and need.
Requirements:
Must be knowledgeable in finishing processes.
Must have ability to learn quickly and recognize parts.
Understand correct placement of parts, right / left sides, front / back.
English required for reading tickets and instructions.
Must be able to setup materials in pots.
Must be able to understand and follow a finish specification for use of correct materials.
