Prepare journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations for more complex transactions and accounts.
Perform analysis of job costs to evaluate missing or inaccurate data.
May assist in the preparation of balance sheet and income statements.
Prepare and/or review accounting reports that support month end close activities.
Responsible for compliance to US GAAP, Internal Controls and corporate guidelines and processes established by RRD.
May participate in special projects needed for process improvements and efficiencies.
Position
Responsibilities:
Prepares monthly financial information utilizing the applicable support systems.
Duties include preparing journal entries, reviewing and correcting transaction batches, and reconciling balance sheet accounts.
Investigate and resolve accounting problems for each area of responsibility Analyzes job cost records to ascertain completeness and accuracy of costs.
Reports significant variances to standard and estimate Prepares journal entries for moderately complex areas of accounting that may require some judgment, such as manufacturing variances, CQT accruals, and unbilled revenue requiring cost adjustments May handle moderately complex journal entries for multiple companies within the Accounting Team Ensures deadlines are met and work is completed in an accurate and timely manner Ensures proper retention, filing, and handling of accounting records Supports internal customers by researching issues and proposing solutions May liaise with internal and/or external auditors to facilitate audits of internal controls and financial statements Prepares other reports and assists in special projects and analysis as requested Required Skills Able to demonstrate ability to solve somewhat more complex problems by analyzing variables and applying appropriate solutions learned through experience and proficiency in understanding the job.
Must be able to recognize anomalies and critical situations and respond appropriately.
Must be able to communicate and interact with a variety of internal/external customers and/or co-workers at the level of detail required to resolve issues of moderate complexity.
Requires knowledge of or ability to quickly learn specialized software to complete work assignments.
Able to demonstrate continued expertise in the primary tools or applications used in completing daily work assignments.
Strong Excel skills are required Requires very good written and verbal communication skills with ability to state messages in a clear manner by using language that is easy for others to understand.
Must be able to proactively listen to others to understand issues and situations.
Must be able to clearly articulate business needs to both internal and external customers.
Required Experience Bachelor degree in discipline related to functional work or role with 3-5 years of relevant work experience OR demonstrated ability to meet the job requirements through a comparable number of years of applicable work experience.
Able to apply strong functional computer knowledge in utilizing Microsoft Office, Google G-Suites applications, and other technical tools in completing assignments.
The national pay range for this role is $51900 to $91500/ year.
The pay range may be slightly lower or higher based on the geographic location of the hired employee.
The actual pay offered may vary based upon, but not limited to:
education, skills, experience, proficiency, performance, shift and location.
In addition to base salary, depending on the role, the total compensation package may also include participation in a bonus, commission or incentive program.
